There are mainly 3 steps to produce pulp molding product: molding, forming and trimming.
For wet pressing process, the pulp will be hot forming directly after molding.
For dry pressing process, after molding, the pulp will be drying first and then forming.
Please refer to the following figure for the difference in appearance of the products of the two processes.
It is obviously that the product surface of wet press is better than dry press. Because of hot forming directly without drying, it needs to consume more heat energy in the production process, so the production cost is higher than dry press.
The application fields for wet press and dry press:
Wet press: takeaway box, disposable tableware, food packaging, exquisite gift packaging, etc.
Dry press: industrial products shock-proof packaging, egg tray, fruit tray, gardening, etc.
